This is what the organizers are trying to convey as they included two more distances in the Doctors category of the 11th Pink October Run slated on Oct. 15 starting at The Terraces of the Ayala Center Cebu.
The doctors category, which had a 6-kilometer distance in the previous editions, will now have 3K and 12K classifications.
“We would like to encourage the doctors to join the race. It’s like they practice what they preach,” race organizer Dr. Peter Mancao said.
The foot race, which aims to raise awareness about breast cancer, will also feature 3K, 6K and 12K open categories.
Gun start for the 3K and 6K distances will be at 6 a.m. while the 12K category will begin at 5:45 a.m.
Just like the previous editions, there will be no cash prizes, but all of the finishers will be receiving medals.
Registration fee for all distances is pegged at P500.
