OVER 20 colleges and universities, including three from Cebu, will be joining the 22nd Philippine University Games slated Oct. 22 to 28 in Dumaguete City.
The Cebu schools are the Southwestern University (SWU)- Phinma and the Cebu Institute of Technology – University (CIT-U), which will be competing in the men’s volleyball tournament, and the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), which will be contending in the men’s basketball competition of the annual meet.
Also joining the multi-sporting event are Adamson University, Arellano University, Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias, De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde, De La Salle University, Foundation University, Hercor College, Holy Angel University, Jose Maria College, University of Saint La Salle, and National University.
Completing the list of participants are the Riverside College, Rizal Technological University, San Beda College, Saint Louis University, St. Theresa College of Tandag, University of Sto. Tomas, STI West Negros University, University of Mindanao (UM) – Davao, UM-Tagum College, University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos and the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA.
The opening ceremonies will be at 4 p.m. on Oct. 22 at the Lamberto Macias Sports Center.
