Cebuana Soltones to play for Iriga Oragons in PSL

MULTI-AWARDED Cebuana volley belle Grethcel Soltones returns to the league with a daunting task of leading the newest team Iriga Oragons in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix which opens this Saturday.

The 22-year-old Soltones from Catmon, Cebu, who has recently won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) plum after leading the BaliPure Purest Water Defenders in winning the 2017 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) open conference title, was reportedly tapped by the Oragons for the import-laden tournament.

In a chat with Cebu Daily News, Soltones confirmed the report and recognizes the tough task of leading a new team in a league sizzled with veterans; but she vows to do everything she can to help the team win games.

“As we all know, Iriga is a new team. But me and my team will try our very best to compete in this league,” said the three-time NCAA MVP.

Soltones last played for the Foton Tornadoes in the 2017 PSL All Filipino Conference, where she led the team to a fourth place finish.
