Cebu City starts search for CVIRAA delegates Nov 18-24

THE 27TH edition of the Cebu City Olympics will be held on Nov. 18 to 24 in various venues around the city.

The annual multisporting meet organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) Cebu City division and Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC) will pit secondary and elementary athletes from various private and public schools in Cebu City that will be grouped according to its designated units.

It will feature 25 sporting events. These are archery, arnis, athletics, baseball, basketball, badminton, billiard, boxing, chess, dancesports, folkdance, gymnastics, football, futsal, karatedo, scrabble, sepak takraw, softball, swimming, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, wrestling and wushu.

The winners in the meet will make up the Cebu City Niños team that will compete in the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (Cviraa) and the Batang Pinoy national finals.

The defending champion in the secondary division is the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters while unit 5 topped the elementary division last year.

The meet will take place after the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Batang Pinoy Visayas Games in Dumaguete scheduled on Nov. 10 to 16.
