THE Department of Education in Central Visayas (DepEd-7) has formally launched the “Gasa” magazine at CitiPark Hotel in Cebu City to recognize the efforts for educational advancements achieved by the regional office.
Gasa, which means gift in Cebuano, is described by Dr. Leah B. Apao as a “fruit of labor” of Region 7 teachers in helping improve the region’s educational system.
“This magazine will be used as a platform of information on what projects, activities, etc. that we (DepEd-7) have done so far to our region,” Apao said.
Gasa is made up of three sections: News, Editorial Opinion, and Fun and Leisure.
Two hundred copies have already been published of this semestral magazine, which is on its January-June 2017 issue. /USC AB Communication Intern Gavin Michael Cubillo
