Tigers eye 6th win in Elite hoop

THE Tigers will shoot for their sixth win of the season as they tangle with the Bulldogs tomorrow in the main game of the Elite Basketball Club-Cebu Season 10 at the Visayan Glass Gym in Guadalupe, Cebu City.

The Tigers, who currently sport a 5-2 win-loss record, tangle with an inspired Bulldogs who just came from a close, 74-71, win over the Stallions last week.

The fifth-seed Bulldogs hold a 4-3 record while a win for the former Elite Basketball Club-Cebu MVP Armando de Jesus and his Tigers will improve their third spot in the standings.

Last week, the Tigers fell to the top-seeded Panthers — who are playing the Rams (5-2) as of press time — by a margin of 13, 79-66.

De Jesus had 23 points in that outing while James Cabilino contributed 17.

Meanwhile, the Stallions (1-6) will try to improve their win numbers against the Lions (3-4) in the second game.

They lost to the Bulldogs last week, 74-71, while the Lions beat the Sharks, 76-63.

The Cheetahs and Wolves, who both tote 1-6 cards, will battle it out in the first game at 6 p.m.
