Eco-stations for will be put up along the Sinulog route to minimize the volume of garbage on the streets.
According to the Cebu City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CCENRO) Chief Nida Cabrera, the city has collected 155 tons of garbage last year, during the Sinulog.
With the presence of the eco-stations, they hope to collect 100-tons of garbage this year.
Cabrera said the government will strictly enforce environmental laws this Sinulog festival.
