Eight refurbished container vans will be distributed to the local government units in Cebu province by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) to serve as temporary holding facilities for Children in Conflict with the Law.

PSWDO chief Marivic Garces told reporters in a press conference today that the total cost is P4.5 million, and some of the recipients include the cities of Naga and Toledo.

“Each of the container vans already has a CR, room, and office. The Capitol will also provide technical assistance to the facilitators,” said Garces.

She added that they target to have the container vans operational by this year.
