GARRY Caneda bagged two titles in the second leg of the Motor Ace Circuit Racing last Sunday at the Kartzone in Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City.
Caneda topped the expert underbone 130cc and the expert scooter 130cc categories of the racing event organized by Motor Ace Philippines.
Caneda logged a total time of six minutes and 18 seconds in the 10-lap race to beat his younger brother Lyndon, who placed second with a total time of 6:19, and Keken Cabahug, who settled for third with a time of 6:25.
In the expert scooter 130cc category, Garry Caneda clocked 6:12 in 12 laps to beat eventual second placer Simon Solon (6:13) and Jaycob Cabahug (6:14).
This was the second time that Caneda won two titles in the series. In the first leg last November, Caneda also dominated the same categories.
Cabahug did not go home empty-handed after he clinched the novice Yamaha Sniper/Honda RS category title by registering a total time of 5:18.24 after 10 laps, beating Sylvester Ramirez (5:20) and Rommel Paz (5:32), who finished second and third, respectively.
Janice Lucero topped the ladies Yamaha Mio 125/Honda Beat category with a total time of 5:43 after 10 laps.
Mary Joan delos Santos (5:57) and Jen Yosores (6:05) were the runners up.
John Paul Manatad, meanwhile, won the scooter 130cc street legal, novice underbone 130cc and the novice scooter 130cc titles while Chloe Mallari ruled the novice scooter 130cc.
