HIT-AND-RUN

A hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a man in his mid 30’s at New Imus road, Barangay Lorega in Cebu City yesterday dawn drew outrage from netizens who said the perpetrators should be brought to justice.

A netizen named Lizzah Gimpayan wrote: “Naunsa naman tawn ning uban mga tawo ron oi, nagkadaghan na jud ang way maayung pamatasan, di na makamao morespito. Makadisgrasya bayaan nalang murag way nahitabo, makatulog pod uroy silag tarung no? (What kind of people do we have nowadays, a lot of them have no morals and no respect. They hit someone and abandon them as if nothing happened, then they can sleep soundly at night).”

Ricardo Antiqueza wrote: “Nganong nahitabo man ni sa Cebu diba gibantog man ta nga most religious people, nganong wa man nay pinuy anan, nganong walay misaksi sa hitabo (Why did it happen in Cebu aren’t we recognized as having the most religious people, how come no one witnessed it)?”

While Joji Mae Libaton Getuaban wrote: “Karma lang bahala niya (Let karma take care of him)!”
