Seven unidentified suspects mauled Shane Sayman, a 50-year-old South African national, after they were accused of stealing the victim’s wallet on Friday dawn.
The incident happened inside a resort in Barangay Logon, Daanbantayan town, northern Cebu.
Sayman, who sustained a wound on his left eye, was rushed to Daanbantayan District Hospital for medical threatment.
The victim has decided not to file charges against the perpetrators.
