Two brothers, who attended a fiesta in a neighboring barangay in Zamboanguita town, Negros Oriental, were shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants as they were heading home on Monday afternoon.
Dante Flores, 42, and Silveriano Flores, 38, of Sitio Bangculotan, Barangay Mayabon, Zamboanguita town died after suffering several gunshot wounds in the body when two gunmen ambushed them in Sitio Boto-Boto, Barangay Poblacion, said Supt. Kat Ramos, Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office public information officer, in a phone interview on Tuesday.
Ramos said that initial investigation showed that the brothers, who were on a motorcycle, were cruising along Sitio Boto-Boto after attending a fiesta in the barangay, when two motorcycle-riding assailants tailed them and shot them several times.
Police were still looking into the motive of the killing.
