Unbeaten teams see action in Gov’s Cup volleyball

TEAMS from Carcar, Mandaue, Liloan and Balamban hope to extend their winning streaks as the Cebu Provincial Sports Commission’s (CPSC) Governor’s Cup 2018 Volleyball resumes today in different venues.

Carcar City will try to stay as the only undefeated team in the south division as it goes up against Talisay City at the Minglanilla Municipal Gym.
Minglanilla will try to defend its home turf as it faces Argao in the next game.

Over at the Dumanjug Municipal Gym, the Dumanjug volleybelles will stand their ground against the visiting Alegria spikers. The other game will have Ginatilan going up against Moalboal.

Carcar City has a 2-0 win-loss record while Alegria and Dumanjug have a win each.

In the north division, Mandaue and Liloan will be in a bitter fight on who will stay undefeated when they face each other at the Poro Municipal Gym in Camotes.

Poro, for its part, will be fighting to defend its homecourt against Consolacion.

Neighboring town San Francisco will get to cheer its team as it goes up against Cordova, also at the Poro Municipal Gym.

Over at the Balamban Municipal Gym, Balamban spikers will try to turn away the visiting Danao City volleybelles and stay undefeated in the tournament.

Other games will have Sogod going up against Carmen while Catmon will play against Asturias.

Mandaue, Liloan and Balamban hold similar 2-0 records.
