Following the plan of incoming Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Oscar Albayalde to let the Special Action Force (SAF) to handle the training of the new police recruits, Superintendent Reyman Tolentin, public information officer of Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7), supports the PNP chief’s plan.
Tolentin said that the Albayalde’s plan will be a good development for the future police officers who will undergo intensive training in SAF.
He added that the training in SAF will mold and discipline the recruits aligned to the standards of the organization.
He believed that this kind of development will not decrease the numbers of applicants who wanted to join the police force, added Tolentin.
Tolentin encouraged the recruits not to be hesitant and encouraged them to take the changes as a challenge.
Tolentin came from the Special Action Force (SAF) after graduating from the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA).
