By: Intern November 07,2013 - 08:21 PM
  • Prepare for your basic needs (have provisions that would be enough until after the onslaught of calamities)
  • Emergency kit (have adequate food and drinking water)
  • Never forget your First Aid Kit. Also prepare for flashlights with new batteries, fully charged cellphones for communication, radio should be on for updates, candles and matches.
  • Consult the needs of every member of the household especially the babies, elders and the sick.
  • Cancel all flights, trips or any gig you have to be safe.
  • Cut the nearest tree from your house to avoid from falling branches or the whole tree itself.
  • Keep valuables safe especially those important documents.
  • Transfer to elevated areas or sturdy buildings, especially those who are located in slum areas.
  • Never go anywhere near seashore or riverside.
  • Listen to the news on radio or television.
  • When the typhoon arrives better stay at home, stay calm and follow the authorities’ instructions.
