Jose Canizares registered a double-double to power Batch 2000 past 2005, 63-35, and into the semifinals of the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Summer League 2018 last Tuesday at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts.
Canizares scored 25 points and hauled down 11 rebounds to give 2000 the win in the knockout quarterfinals stage.
In other games, 2003 blew away 2004, 65-37, behind the solid performances of Ervin Lopena and Jan Jaca.
Lopena had 13 points and five boards while Jaca came up with 12 markers and seven rebounds.
2015 also took care of 2013, 69-59, behind the stellar numbers of the trio of Joseph Mayol, Anton Araw-Araw and Zachary Bajarias.
Mayol had 16 points while Araw-Araw and Bajarias tallied 15 apiece.
2007 also eliminated 2008, 64-62.
