THE Police Regional Office (PRO-7) wants to elevate the remaining suspect in the murder of Buenavista town Mayor Ronald Lowell Tirol into the top of their list of Most Wanted in Central Visayas.
“That way we can mobilize all law enforcement agencies to hunt down the suspect,” Chief Supt. Debold Sinas, PRO-7 chief, said.
Elmer Melencion was identified as the gunman in the mayor’s murder. He was listed in the top 10 Most Wanted in Bohol province.
Sinas said elevating Melencion to their list means they can place a cash reward for his capture.
He said he requested the Regional Crime Laboratory to get records on the site where another suspect, Emigdio Aparece, who died in a shootout with police in Danao town, Bohol province last Wednesday morning.
