THE ACCENTURE Sharks and the Sykes Pioneers zoomed straight to the top after they carved out their second win of the season over their respective opponents in the Elite Classic division of the Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball 2018 last Saturday at the City Sports Club-Cebu basketball court.
The Sharks, in full force this time after fielding in a mere six players last time out, beat the EPerformax Reds, 90-80.
The Pioneers, on the other hand, slipped past the Wipro Tigers, 73-65.
The two winning teams now hold the lead in the standings in the early goings of this tournament with identical 2-0 win-loss cards.
Accenture saw four different players score in double-figures led by point guard Junas Misa, who tallied 16 points. Archie Batua added 14 points and eight rebounds even as Miguel Calo and Marc Cabague pitched in 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Janjan Auditor and Earl Montillo, former players of the University of Cebu, put up 27 and 19 points, respectively.
