A man sought the help of the National Bureau of Investigation in Central Visayas (NBI-7) to investigate the visa consultancy managed by Barangay Mabalo Captain Prisca Niña Mabatid.

Levi Cortez, 40, and a public school teacher, wanted to work in Canada and applied for visa in Mabatid’s Pinoycare Visa Center.

He said already spend more than a hundred thousand pesos for his visa processing.

Cortez claimed he was informed by the processing center that failed in the examination. He, however, explained the test result is satisfactory in Canada’s rating.

The complainant demanded for a refund of P83, 000.

Sought for comment, Mabatid told Cebu Daily News that there is a memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the processing center and the complainant.

“MOA prevails. Let him (file) lang. My lawyers will take care of it,” Mabatid said in a text message.
