Schools told to offer programs on cybersecurity

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Cyber Bureau urged higher education institutions to offer programs on cybersecurity to address the projected demand of cybersecurity professionals in the coming years.

Genalyn Macalinao, cybersecurity policy head of the DICT, said more cybersecurity professionals are needed as institutions start to integrate in the digital age.

A curriculum for Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity has been developed by the agency.
