THE Cebu Provincial Tourism Office (PTO) will showcase tourism destinations in at least 20 local government units (LGUs) during a three-day travel fair that will be held at the Capitol Social hall from August 28 to 30.
PTO Head Joselito “Boboi” Costas said that the fair which they call “Cebu Journeys” is one of the highlights of the month-long celebration of the provincial government’s 449th founding anniversary.
“During the three-day fair, they will be showcasing their destinations, either to promote or sell their tour packages,” Costas said.
Participating LGUs that will include Oslob, Moalboal and Badian towns in south Cebu and Camotes Island in the north will be asked to set up booths there where they can display brochures on their travel packages and put on display their local produce.
Costas said that they will also set up LED screens for a presentation of video exhibits that will featuring the towns famous architecture and natural resources.
He said that the participating LGUs will be divided according to four classifications: marine, cultural, adventure and eco-tourism destinations.
