Seventy-eight-year-old Esteban Paran was found dead inside his makeshift home in a secluded area of Barangay Cantao-an, Naga City on Tuesday (October 2).
Paran stayed in the secluded area of Barangay Cantao-an to attend to his livestock.
Rogelio Canubas, Paran’s son-in-law, said they last saw Paran on Thursday noon (September 27).
“Gitawagan siya sa akong asawa pagka-Biyernes pero di na man siya macontact,” said Canubas.
Canubas said his son came to Paran’s shanty early this morning to bring food and water to his grandfather, only to see Paran’s body drenched in blood and was already in an advanced state of decomposition.
Canubas said his father-in-law was keeping cold cash worth about P200,000 from sales of his livestock.
Personnel from the St. Francis Funeral Homes are now retrieving Paran’s remains from his shanty.
