Hundreds remain stranded as PCG-7 continues to bar sea travels

The number of passengers who remain stranded at the ports of Cebu and Bohol provinces has already ballooned to 1,579 as of 12 noon today, said the Philippine Coast Guard in Central Visayas (PCG-7).

A statement from PCG-7 said that they provided snacks and drinks to stranded passengers who continue to wait for sea travels to resume.

“This district continuous to render necessary assistance and support to the stranded passengers in connection with the onslaught of Tropical Depression Samuel,” said the PCG-7 statement.

As of noontime today, PCG-7 has listed 1, 321 passengers who remain stranded at the different ports of Cebu together with 258 others who remain stranded at the ports of Bohol province.

PCG-7 said that a total of 128 rolling cargoes, 74 vessels and 11 motorbanca were barred from sailing to their destinations Tuesday morning.
