Cebu City, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard in Cebu City (PCG-Cebu City) will be conducting an investigation on a passenger ship that reportedly conked out while sailing to Cebu from Manila.
PCG-Tinago Substation confirmed to Cebu Daily News Digital that they received unofficial reports that M/V St. John Paul II, a passenger ship owned by 2GO Shipping, malfunctioned on its way to Pier 6 in Cebu City past 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.
“As far as we know, the ship is now on its way to dock in Pier 6. An investigation will be conducted to determine what really happened,” said an officer from PCG-Tinago Substation, who requested anonymity due to lack of authority to speak.
