On Sunday’s operation, Renato Cuerpo, 53, and his son, Richard Cuerpo, 33, were arrested during the raid, said Leah Albiar, PDEA-7 spokesperson, in an interview.
Albiar said that Renato was allegedly the one who sold the illegal drugs while Richard was allegedly the one who maintained the suspected drug den.
The other four persons arrested inside Cuerpo’s house were Ismael Inoques, 53, Aljhun Quijano, 20, Eric Betache, 33, and Alnie Arenas, 23.
When sought for comment, Richard Cuerpo claimed that they did not own the suspected drug den.
Richard said it was their cousin, who left early that day, as the one who allegedly run the illegal drug business.
Albiar said that the suspects were detained at the PDEA-7 detention cell pending the filing of charges./dbs
