Cebu City, Philippines—The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in Central Visayas (LTFRB-7) confirmed on Monday, May 6, 2019, that their Central Office has already approved the provisional fare increase for Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJs) from the minimum fare of P6.50 to P8.00.
LTFRB-7 regional director Eduardo Montealto said that the board resolution was approved and signed on April 24, 2019.
Montealto said that starting tomorrow, they will start issuing new fare matrix to PUJ operators. Operators will only have to pay P50 for the said document. /bmjo
