SUCCESSFUL activities, participated in by teachers and students, marked the week-long festivity of the 14th Founder’s celebration of Benedicto College.
With the theme “BC @ 14: Today and Beyond”, the BC community participated in various events from February 8 to 14 which aimed at honoring and giving back to its founder and chairman, Ambassador Francisco L. Benedicto.
One of the activities organized by the school was the 3rd FLB Inter-High School Quiz Bowl held last Feb. 11 at the school’s Kinetic Centrum.
The activity was participated in by students, not only from Benedicto College, but from 11 other private and public schools within Mandaue City, which each sent three students to compete.
The quiz bowl was divided into three rounds with different categories headed by their game master Mr. Kenneth Alister Roxas.
The judges for the competition were Department Chair Marilyn Unabia, Engr. Susan Pijo, Mrs. Rodita Cebreros and Mr. Vincent Roy Dubrico.
At the end of the game, Comprehensive National High School (Day) bagged the first prize, Mandaue City Science High School for the second prize and Don Gerardo Ouano National High School for the 3rd prize.
Winners were given scholarships and cash prizes.
