CEBU CITY, Philippines – Five persons were arrested in a buy-bust operation on Sunday, August 25, in a house in Purok Santan, Barangay Taclobo in Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental that was converted into a drug den.
Those arrested were identified as Jeremy “Emik” Pinili, Armando “Palog” Demos, Jennifer Cañaveral, Jenny Ann Hangas and Divina Albina.
Personnel from the Central Visayas offices of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police confiscated 12 sachets of suspected shabu weighing at least 12 grams and estimated to cost P81,600; the buy bust money; three cellular phones; and assorted drug paraphernalia from the suspects’ possession.
“(The) dismantling of a drug den is a high-impact operation considering the threat such place poses in the community,” PDEA VII RO – Central Visayas said in a Facebook post this morning, August 26.
The PDEA-7 post said that complaints for the violation of Republic Act 9165 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is now being prepared against the five suspects.
