Cebu City Hall’s top officials each received an IPad Air unit as part of their plans to establish connectivity with each other.
“We want connectivity among departments so we can address concerns right away,” City Administrator Lucelle Mercado said.
About 30 brand new iPad Air units were distributed to the department heads. Mercado said each unit is owned by the department and will be turned over to the General Services Office should the department head be transferred or replaced.
Each iPad Air unit costs P2,000 each under a postpaid plan by Smart Communications and comes with unlimited Internert access.
About P1.4 million was allocated for the purchase of these tablets under the City Administrator’s Office.
