Prisaa to help Tagum’s Palaro hosting bid

Tagum City, Davao del Norte—The Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) will help lobby for the 2015 Palarong Pambansa to be held here at the modern Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex.
This was the promise made by Prisaa national president Ma. Lita A. Montalban, also the Prisaa Region XI president, during the closing ceremony Friday at the grandstand of the one-year-old sports arena, which is groomed to become one of the premier sports destinations in the region.
In her closing ceremony speech during the program, Montalban said the Prisaa will help the provincial government of Davao del Norte in its bid to host the 2015 Palarong Pambansa.
“The Prisaa will help recommend Davao del Norte as host of the 2015 Palarong Pambansa,” Montalban said.
“The hosting of the National Prisaa Games was 99.9% successful. Makita man nato kun gi unsa pag paningkamot sa atong governor ug mayor para ma successful atong event.”
Davao del Norte Governor Rodolfo P. del Rosario, Vice Governor Victorio R. Suaybaguio, the different national and regional Prisaa officials, Tagum City Mayor Allan Lopez Rellon, secretary general Laureano C. Santos and Prisaa Region 11 Council of Elders chairman Dr. Pedro San Jose attended the event.
Mayor Rellon, for his part, lauded the different delegates in the weeklong event, saying all of them are very disciplined and that he didn’t receive any complaints from Tagum residents regarding the behavior of the athletes, coaches and delegation officials from participating regions.
“Napakabait po ng lahat ng coaches, athletes and delegation officials. Lahat po ay napakadisiplinado at wala po akong reklamong natanggap galing sa mga tao na may gumawa ng hindi tama sa lahat ng visiting delegations,” Rellon said. “Ang Prisaa National Games po ay naging very successful dahil na rin po sa effort ng Davao del Norte. Ito rin po ang magsisilbing final rehearseal po namin sa aming bid to host the 2015 Palarong Pambansa.”
The Western Visayas Prisaa (Region 6) was crowned as overall champion in the recently concluded event after amassing 99 gold medals, 54 silvers and 74 bronzes to unseat three-time overall kings Prisaa Region 7 which landed in the second spot with 80 golds, 42 silvers and 29 bronze medals. Region 4A took the third spot with 48 golds, 44 silvers and 48 bronze medals.
