German restaurant owner shot dead by security guard

A German was shot dead by a security guard at an Alcoy resort at past 2 a.m. Thursday.

Security guard Jerome Nerie thought 60-year old Hans Jurgen Hessnsy was a thief because he wore a diving suit.

Nerie was patroling the resort at the time he saw Hessnsy and immediately shot him at the back and his neck.

Hessnsy has long been staying in Dalaguete, Cebu where he set up a restaurant business.

Prior to being declared dead on arrival at the Dalaguete District Hospital. Nerie is now at large.
