Pagasa said Glenda slightly weakened and is now in Bagac, Bataan moving towards the West Philippine Sea with maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph.
Oscar Tabada of the Pagasa-Mactan office said Cebu will still experience heavy rainfall and strong winds later today.
Glenda Baltazar Tribunalo of the Cebu Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management office said there were no reports of casualties. “Only disturbances that occurred are the cancelled trips by sea and air since yesterday,” Tribunalo said.
Officials of the local government units are advised to continue monitoring possible landslide, floods and storm surges.
Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama also ordered shortened classes in all public elementary and high schools up to 3 p.m. today anticipating heavy rainfall this afternoon.
