Talisay City PNP adjudged as Best Performing City Police Station for December

CEBU CITY, Philippines— Talisay PNP was awarded as the Best Performing City Police Office for the month of December on Monday, February 1, 2021, during the flag ceremony held at the Cebu Provincial Office Multi-Purpose grounds in Sudlon, Lahug, here.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Gerard Ace Pelare, chief of the Talisay City Police Station, received the award on behalf of the entire Talisay City police community.

Talisay PNP attained the highest accomplishment in all the flagship programs of the Philippine National Police from December 1 to 31, 2020.

“The award is a recognition that when the community helps the police in law enforcement, the more effective policing will become,” Pelare claimed.

With its operations, the Talisay police apprehended 39 individuals for violating the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, confiscated a total of 61.58 grams of illegal drugs worth P 418, 744. Also, they arrested 1 person for violating Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and confiscated 1 firearm. Talisay PNP also initiated the arrest of nine loose firearms through their Oplan Katok and apprehension of 54 persons for illegal gambling and 105 in total for the service of a warrant of arrest.
