MANDAUE CITY, Philippines – The Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (TEAM) is urging operators and vehicle owners to regularly check if their drivers have pending violations. They can do so at the TEAM office.

Edwin Jumao-as said this when he sat as the TEAM’s new executive director. He ordered to dig up pending violations of drivers especially for trucks and company vehicles.

It was there that the overlapping fines were discovered that other operators were unaware of.

Jumao-as said drivers were not informing operators that their violations are piling up hence his invitation for the latter to regularly check their drivers’ record at their office.

“Ang (company name) lang anaa silay bayranan nga P235 thousand. Ang nakakuan ang ila’ng drivers niya ang pabaryon ana ang operators (ug) company. Responsibility sa operatoras pag-ari sa TEAM pagtan-aw sa salaod sa ila’ng drivers kay ang citations gud ineglect lang sa drivers. Luoy ang operators,” said Jumao-as.

Jumao-as is planning to call for a meeting with the operators and car owners to talk about the accumulated traffic offenses and pending violations committed by their drivers.

Jumao-as warns drivers and car owners not to ignore citation tickets because once the structure of the TEAM office is in place, there will be a legal division that will be handling the filing of traffic cases to violators who did not care to settle their violations. /rcg
