CEBU CITY, Philippines—  The southern town of Argao, Cebu is approximately a two-hour drive from the city.

Just like any other southern town in Cebu, Argao takes pride in its beaches and its famous torta.

But today, CDN Digital will be taking you to a place a few people only know about.

A place made by nature and enhanced by Argawanons, today, let us take a trip to the new wonder of Argao — the Water Terraces in Catang, Argao.

Ka-Siloy Brylle Remonde Ybañez shared with CDN Digital some details on how one could reach this new attraction in Argao.

The Water Terraces is located in Barangay Catang, Argao.

From the town proper, it takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes to reach the barangay.

And another 10 to 15 minutes worth of hiking from the water terraces’ parking lot to the beauty itself.

There’s an entrance fee of P50 for adults and P25 for kids.

According to Ybañez, there are no tables or chairs where one can eat in the area yet.

“For now wla pa.  Since pandemic,  limited and on going pa ang plan sa owner to put some cottages/tables. Pure ligo pajud atong ma avail ddto then ang ga bantay is naay ginagmay baligya like mga biscuit2 or junkfoods and bottled water,” he said.

(For now there are no tables yet. Since it is a pandemic, the owner plans to put up some limited cottages/tables. What you can avail there now is purely the fun of taking a bath or swimming in the water terraces, then there is a caretaker who sells biscuits, junk food and bottled water.)

The water terraces were already there when the owner acquired the place said Ybañez, all they had to do was to enhance the place to make it more beautiful and to make it more enjoyable for the people to take a dip in the cold waters.

It looks like Argao has a new place for everyone to explore soon.
