CEBU Provincial Capitol employees will receive P3,000 of their P18,000 anniversary bonus on Aug. 15.
The release of the P15,000 balance will have to wait for two weeks .
An outlay of P23 million has to be included in the next supplemental budget, said provincial budget officer Danny Rodas.
“If we can submit our (SB) request next week and the Provincial Board approves it as early as possible, maybe we can have the money (the P15,000 balance) by August 18,” he said.
Rodas said the planned supplemental budget would also include other items needed for the Capitol’s operations.
Gov. Hilario Davide III on Wednesday announced the release of an P18,000 anniversary bonus for the Capitol’s 1,600 regular and casual employees who have worked with the provincial government starting Dec. 31, 2013.
Outsourced personnel are not covered by the anniversary bonus.
Rodas said that P3,000 of the P18,000 anniversary bonus was appropriated in their 2014 budget.
His office has started processing the release of the cash.
The P15,000 balance which was agreed for release to employees under their Collective Negotiation Agreement incentive would be sourced from the next supplemental budget.
