Pregnant woman accused of stealing P1-M watch

A six-month pregnant woman was accused of stealing her neighbor’s Italian wrist watch worth P1 million in Talisay City.

Businesswoman Marsha Roble, 35, reported to Talisay City Police in tears after she lost her Panerai Zodiac watch that she had left at home in barangay Pooc, Talisay City.

Her helper, Yolanda Seldora, pointed to their pregnant neighbor as the one who stole the expensive watch.

The pregnant woman denied the accusation but police said they will still file charges against her.

Panerai is an Italian luxury watch brand that was made more famous by actors who wear the product in movies like The Expandables.

Also in Talisay City, burglars took almost P1 million worth of cash and personal belongings in three separate incidents.

Venicar Andus reported to the police that on Monday night, burglars destroyed the jalousie blades of the window of his rented apartment and took P214,750 worth of gadgets, jewelry and other personal belongings and P15,000 cash.

Also last Monday, Kimari Kalbi, an employee of the Bureau of Customs, lost assorted watches worth P103,000 to a man who broke into his house in barangay Lawaan I.

At around 6 a.m. yesterday, Celestino Condor, 71, also reported to the police that he lost his jewelry worth P560,000, P100,000 cash and US$200 to burglars while the family was out hearing an early morning mass.
