CEBU CITY, Philippines — A total of 30 houses were razed in a fire that hit Sitio Lapuk, Lower Calili, C. Padilla Street in Cebu City on Friday dawn, February 4, 2022.
Fire Officer (FO2) Emerson Arceo, in his report, stated that they estimate the total damage from the dawn fire at P350,000 after at least 30 houses were totally burned. These houses were within a 400-square-meter area.
He also estimates a total of 20 affected families with over 50 individuals displaced from the said incident. Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities due to the fire.
The Cebu City Fire Office responded to the fire after they received the alarm at 2:15 am. It was two minutes after when they reached the area.
Arceo said that the fire was put to 1st alarm at 2:22 am. After 38 minutes, they declared the fire as under control, while “fire out” was declared at 3:18 am.
Arceo said that as of this posting, they are still conducting an investigation to identify what might have started the dawn fire.
