2 sisters nabbed for drugs

Two sisters aged 60 and 54 were arrested and P100,000 worth of drugs were seized in separate anti-drug operations in barangay Ermita, Cebu City Monday night.

Ester Flores Cabando, 54, was arrested by a team from Carbon Police Station after she allegedly sold a pack of a powder believed to be shabu to a police decoy.

Another team also conducted a separate buy bust operation and arrested Cabando’s sister, Ornecita Flores Cabugason, 60.

After Cabando’s arrest, police searched her house and seized three large packs, 14 medium packs, and five small packs of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P43,300, the P500 buy bust money and P47,050 believed to be proceeds of the illegal drug trade and several drug paraphernalia.

Police also seized from Cabugason’s house three large packs, five medium packs and four small packs of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P41,300.

In another anti-drug operation, police arrested two persons in barangay Pulangbato yesterday morning.

Police served a search warrant issued by RTC Branch 18 Judge Gilbert Moises against Jerome Miñoza.

Miñoza was not around and police ended up arresting George Casimero, 37, and Lord Cham Maranon, 26, who were allegedly caught possessing packs of suspected shabu.
