A 1-year-old infant died while his parents were injured after they were hit by a motorcycle while crossing the national road at 5 a.m. in barangay Colon in Naga City yesterday.
The baby’s parents Tyrol Jumerez, 24, and Christina Egano, 18, sustained head and body injuries.
Their son Christopher was thrown on the road by the impact of the motorycle.The baby died at the South General Hospital.
Police investigators said the mother was holding her baby as the couple crossed the street.
A speeding motorcycle bound for Cebu City driven by Rey Ag-ag, 27, hit them.
Ag-ag and his backrider Jerome Carampatan, were also brought to the hospital for treatment.
Ag-ag is detained at Naga City Police Station pending the filing of charges.
