The University of San Carlos (USC)-North and the University of the Visayas (UV) barged into the finals of the under-10 division of the Alaska Basketball D-League after they hurdled their respective semifinal opponents last Saturday at the SHS-Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue, Cebu City.
USC-North disposed of the Cebu Eastern College, 41-30, while UV ended the Cinderella run of Monterey, 30-21.
In other divisions, USC advanced to the finals of the under-12 division 1 after they routed UV, 37-19. However, UV-B repaid USC in the semifinals of the under-15 division 1 as they advanced to the championship round with a 39-38 thriller. In the under-17 division 2 semifinals, SCSIT moved on to the finals after it hacked out a tough 57-54 victory over One on One.
Meanwhile in the quarterfinals of the under-17 division 2, AE Sports Toledo blasted Minglanilla, 75-46, while also in the same round but in the under-12 division 2, CIC-Mandaue defeated USC South B, 45-38 to book a the semifinal ticket.
