The Liloan police is contemplating on raising the charges to be filed against the attacker of the 70-year-old mother of a Cebuana journalist from serious physical injuries to frustrated murder.
According to Liloan police chief Senior Inspector Ramil Morpos, after assessing the evidences of the crime, they believe that the suspect Jimson Roado had the intent to kill the victim Maria Nelia Villamor last Sunday dawn. The victim is the mother of Maritess Villamor, bureau of chief for the Visayas of the Business World.
¨Considering Maria Nelia Villamor who is now in critical condition at the hospital, the suspect had the intent to kill the victim.. And also considering that the victim is a 70-year-old woman,”Morpos said.
Roado is now detained at the Liloan police station awaiting the filing of frustrated murder. He was positively identified by the 78-year-old husband of the victim, Ireneo Villamor.
