Cebu City Treasurer Diwa Cuevas is ready to answer all complaints filed against her by former south district Rep. Tomas Osmena.
“Personally, I feel tired of all these issues. But with the mayor’s assurance, I still continue. I’m ready to explain my side,” she told reporters yesterday.
She said this in reaction to Osmena’s announcement that he has filed 26 more cases against Cuevas before the Department of Finance (DOF) on Oct. 16 which includes City Accountant Mark Rosell Salomon.
Cuevas said she has not received any communication from the DOF or the Civil Service Commission (CSC) regarding the cases yet.
Osmena earlier filed 12 administrative complaints before the CSC.
“Before they decide on anything, the DOF and the CSC should first ask COA (Commission on Audit),” Cuevas said.
She explained that during exit conferences with COA-7, they have explained their side on the adverse opinions COA issued in its Annual Audit Reports (AARs) for 2012 and 2013.
“This is just an opinion from COA. We have already answered all these issues with COA during our exit conferences,” she added.
Osmena’s administrative complaints were based on the COA reports on the city’s finances in 2012 and 2013.
