On March 26 next year, Cebu Pacific Air will launch direct Cebu-Tokyo-Cebu flights.
With this, travelling to Tokyo directly from Cebu has never been eas ier as the Japanese government also eased the restrictions on visa requirements.
Cebu Pacific will launch four weekly flights – every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday – between Cebu and Tokyo using the brand new Airbus A320 fleet.
The Cebu hub will also make it convenient for travelers from other parts of the Visayas and Mindanao to take the flight.
“We hope to keep contributing to the national tourism agenda, by providing direct access for Japanese leisure travelers to the island of Cebu. Its strategic location in central Philippines makes it the ideal gateway to beach and eco-adventure destinations in other parts of the country,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
Meanwhile, Yosuke Togezaki, Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) representative to the Philippines, told the media in a recent briefing that there has been an increasing number of Filipinos visiting Japan.
Aside from the relaxation of visa requirements, Togezaki said the flight fares are reasonable and visitors can enjoy tax-free shopping.
The seat sale fare for Cebu Pacific’s newest route starts from P3,888, making it ideal for travelers to and from Cebu and surrounding regions. This Cebu-Tokyo seat sale fare is available until November 14, 2014 or until seats last, for travel from March 26 to September 30, 2015.
