CEBU, Philippines–Three Cebu graduates were among the topnotchers in the May 2023 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Exam.
They are Rica Mae Albiso (6), Jenzel John Longno (6), and Kyra Shane Buhia (9).
All three topnotchers are from Cebu’s University of San Carlos.
Albiso had a rating of 88.33 percent, same with Longno. Buhia, on the other hand, had a rating of 87.83 percent.
Alexander Salvador Bandiola Jr. of the University of the Cordilleras topped the exams with a score of 89.50 percent.
De La salle University-Manila’s Rayhannah Nuestro Decampong was at second with a rating of 89.33 percent while Arnel Alfonso Reyes Jr. placed third with a rating of 89.00 percent.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the list of passers at 12 a.m. on May 31.
PRC said 2,239 out of 7,376 (30.36 percent) successfully passed the CPA licensure exams (CPALE).
The CPALE was conducted on May 21-23, 2023, in testing centers in NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga by the Board of Accountancy headed by its Chairman, Noe G. Quiñanola, Vice-Chairman, Samuel B. Padilla, and its members, Gloria T. Baysa, Thelma S. Ciudadano, Gervacio I. Piator and Maria Teresita Z. Dimaculangan.
