After he was accused of physically and verbally abusing his partner Shaila Rebortera, Kapuso actor Rob Gomez is now ready to leave the past behind and start anew with the former beauty queen and their newborn daughter.

On his Instagram account on Sunday, Gomez said that Rebortera is “not an option for [him] to lose,” just weeks after her controversial post showing signs of domestic abuse, as she revealed a then undisclosed fact: that they had a child together.

Gomez said he “can’t wait” to have Rebortera and their daughter “back in [his] arms,” while sharing photos of their favorite memories together.

“I now understand why distance is the hardest thing to give family. This is my why, my princess, my queen, my sunshine and my world. My choice everyday, in this lifetime and the next. You are not an option for me to lose. I can’t wait to have you both back in my arms,” he wrote.

The “Magandang Dilag” star then apologized to the former beauty queen for saying “yes to being single when [he’s] not,” as he assured that he will “keep [his] promises” to her.

“I’m sorry I said yes to being single when I’m not. I promise to keep my promises to you this time. I love you and Amelia more than anything in the world,” he said.

Rebortera, who was crowned Miss Multinational Philippines 2021 and Miss Millennial Philippines 2018, has yet to respond to Gomez’s post, although it can be observed that her Instagram account is currently set to private, as of this writing.

Gomez’s post came weeks after the beauty queen revealed that the actor’s mother attempted to silence her and asked her to apologize for claims that she suffered from “physical, verbal, and emotional abuse” from his hand, as well as having cheated on her during the course of their relationship.

“So many girls have reached out to tell me either about the same physical, verbal, and emotional abuse they have experienced from him or about the cheating incidents that happened all the while he was keeping our relationship and our baby ‘private’ for his career… Nonetheless, I am grateful to everyone who has shown me support and has helped me get back on my feet,” she added.
