Twelve personnel of the dyKC Radio located at RPN Compound in barangay Maguikay, Mandaue City were surprised with the noon advisory issued by their  new management that shut down their network yesterday.

One of them, Jovelito Jayme, said CNN Philippines will pay them according to their length of service and talent fees.

“There are technical personnel from Manila who will oversee the transition,” said dyKC officer-in-charge Engr. Noel Almerida.

CNN Philippines is under the US-based media company Turner Broadcasting System, a division of Time Warner.

It signed a five-year agreement with Nine Media Corp. formerly Solar TV network and Radio Philippines Network (RPN) to provide domestic and international news content for Filipino audiences.
CNN Philippines is the fifth local franchise of CNN in Asia, after CNN Indonesia, CNN Turk, CNN Arabic and CNN-IBN (India).
