A portion of the northbound lane of Osmeña Boulevard in Cebu City will be temporarily closed for 20 days from October 2 to 22, 2023.

The Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) announced on Saturday evening, September 30, the road closure from the corner of N. Escario Street to the corner of J. Avila Street as part of the ongoing construction of the Capitol bus station for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).

Several individuals have expressed their interest to adopt Spike, the dog who was blamed for the death of his master in Talisay City.

In an advisory, Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas said Spike is now under the custody of Dr. Hope Dejadena, the OIC City Veterinarian, because of the need to place him under observation for two weeks.

CESAFI: Magis Eagles bounce back with a dominant win over USC Baby Warriors

The Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles bounced back strong from their opening game defeat with a dominant 34-point beating of the University of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors, 91-57, in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) high school basketball on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the Cebu Coliseum.

Team captain Jared Bahay and guard Rodolfo Maglasang topscored the Magis Eagles by unloading 19 points apiece.
