CEBU CITY, Philippines – Suspected shabu worth P25,500 and multiple firearms were confiscated by police during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Talisay City, Cebu on Friday evening, October 6, 2023.
The buy-bust operation also resulted in the apprehension of three individuals: an alleged street-level drug pusher and two of his alleged cohorts.
Authorities conducted the drug sting at around 10:18 p.m. in Sitio Rattan, Barangay Tangke, Talisay City, Cebu.
The operatives arrested the subject of the operation, a man described as a street-level individual (SLI).
They also arrested two male persons accused of being the subject’s cohorts in the illegal activity.
Packs containing white, crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing a total of 3.75 grams were confiscated by police from the scene.
The seized illegal drugs had a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P25,500

During the operation, multiple pieces of firearms were also taken away by the authorities from the alleged suspects.
Seized from their possession were two .38 caliber revolvers, four live ammunition for caliber .38 revolver, one caliber .45 pistol, twelve live ammunition for caliber .45 pistol, and one steel magazine.
The buy-bust operation was conducted by personnel of the Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Talisay City Police Station.
The three alleged suspects are now in police custody pending the filing of appropriate charges against them in violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Talisay City is located around 11 kilometers south of Cebu City. /rcg
