CEBU CITY, Philippines — Cebu can expect a fair weather condition with isolated rain showers and localized thunderstorms in the next five days or from Sunday to Thursday.
This is according to a weather specialist in Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration in Mactan (Pagasa-Mactan).
Jhomer Eclarino told CDN Digital on Sunday, October 15, that the public could expect the localized thunderstorms to occur, usually in the afternoon and in the evening.

Temperature, heat index
Meanwhile, the temperature range for the next five days will be from 25 to 32 degrees celsius, and the heat index will be from 40 to 43 degrees celsius.
“So, init, igang ang atong [panahon]. Pagdating sa hapon [ug] gabii, naa’y mga uwan ug kining mga localized thunderstorms,” Eclarino said.
(So, our weather will be humid. In the after and evening, we will have rains and these localized thunderstorms.)

Eclarino added that Pagasa-Mactan was not monitoring any low-pressure areas in the country.
“Padayon lang tang magmonitor sa atong mga gi-issue nga thunderstorm advisories and maglikay ta sa kainiton sa panahon. Medyo taas ang atong heat index, so take precautionary measures,” Eclarino said.
(Let’s just continue to monitor our thunderstorm advisories and we just stay away from the heat. It is just because our heat index is a little bit high so take precautionary measures.)

Drink more water
The weather specialist advised the public to drink more water to avoid dehydration during these times.
“And magdala ug mga panangga sa init if molakaw ta,” Eclarino stated.
(And bring something to protect you from the heat if you will go out.)
